The design of a modern Building Maintenance Unit (BMU) is the focal point of the Exterior Building (EBM) System for this tower. A 97' telescoping boom positions a suspended work platform on any point of the buildings facade to provide access for window cleaning and building maintenance. The BMU runs along a structural steel track system that is centrally locations along the building longitudinal axis. The luffing and slewing and elevating mast functions allow the BMU to be stored out of the line of sight.
Since 1991, this 34 story, 500' tall city icon has graced the skyline and has become a landmark to the city. OLYMPIQUE is proud to have taken a role in the modernization of the Facade Access System in 2015.
